This week was Herbstferien (Fall break), so I didn't have school which was definitely nice. It was great to have time to relax. I went hiking twice this week, first in Füssen, which is in Bavaria. I went on a beautiful hike with Martina and Pia in the Alps and got to see Schloss Neuschwanstein which was amazing. It was definitely the most beautiful hike I've been on. The weather was amazing, and it gradually got colder hiking up the mountain, which was covered in snow towards the top. We had lunch at the top overlooking the Alps which was absolutely incredible. After we went into the town and walked around a little bit. The town was really beautiful; tons of old buildings with paintings on them. It was a long but amazing day.
Yesterday I went hiking again with Martina, Liv, Janis, and Pia. This time we went to Bregenz, Austria. We had a stunning view of the Alps and of the Bodensee (Lake Constance) and the weather was beautiful. Afterwards we walked around Lindau (Insel) back in Germany.
Yesterday was Halloween but it's not really a big deal here.. Had one set of trick or treaters come by but that was it! Definitely very different from the US.
